Christmas movies are a contentious subject, and everyone has their favorite, but there are some that are so iconic that they deserve a spot among the greatest movies of all time. These are the Christmas movies that will always find an audience, that inspire and leave a seasonally-appropriate happy feeling in their viewers. Movies set at Christmastime that don’t have Christmas as a major focus are also excluded (which excludes any potentially controversial inclusion of Die Hard!). And while there are plenty of animated Christmas movies that are truly excellent, the most iconic are all live-action.
